In accordance with Art. 4(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, i.e. the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter “GDPR”), “processing” means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.
With the following privacy policy, we inform you in particular about the type, scope, purpose, duration and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we decide either alone or jointly with others on the purposes and means of processing. In addition, we inform you below about third-party components used by us for optimization purposes and to increase the quality of use, insofar as third parties process data under their own responsibility as a result.
Our privacy policy is structured as follows:
I. Information about us as the controller
II. Rights of users and data subjects
III. Information on data processing
I. Information about us as the controller

II. Rights of users and data subjects
With regard to the data processing described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right:
- to confirmation as to whether data concerning them is being processed, to information about the processed data, to further information about data processing and to copies of the data (see also Art. 15 GDPR);

Without prejudice to this, the user has the right to be informed about these recipients.
Users and data subjects also have the right under Art. 21 GDPR to object to the future processing of data concerning them, insofar as the data is processed by the provider on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for the purpose of direct advertising is permitted.
III. Information on data processing
Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for storing it no longer applies, provided that no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion and no different information is provided below for individual processing procedures.
Server data
For technical reasons, in particular to ensure a secure and stable website, data is transmitted by your internet browser to us or to our web hosting provider. These so-called server log files include, among other things, the type and version of your internet browser, the operating system, the website from which you switched to our website (referrer URL), the website(s) of our website that you visit, the date and time of the respective access, and the IP address of the internet connection from which our website is used.
The data collected in this way is stored temporarily, but not together with other data about you.
This storage is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the stability, functionality and security of our website.
The data will be deleted again after no later than seven days, unless further retention is required for evidentiary purposes. Otherwise, the data is excluded from deletion in whole or in part until an incident has been finally clarified.
Cookies
a) Session cookies
We use so-called cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies that are stored on your end device by the internet browser you use. Through these cookies, certain information about you is processed to an individual extent, such as your browser or location data or your IP address.
This processing makes our website more user-friendly, effective and secure, as it enables, for example, the display of our website in different languages or the provision of a shopping cart function.
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as these cookies process data for initiating or performing a contract.
If the processing does not serve to initiate or perform a contract, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. The legal basis is then Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
These session cookies are deleted when you close your internet browser.
b) Third-party cookies
Our website may also use cookies from partner companies with which we work for advertising, analysis or functionality purposes.
Please refer to the information below for details, in particular regarding the purposes and legal bases for processing such third-party cookies.
c) Option to remove cookies
You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by adjusting your internet browser settings. You can also delete cookies that have already been stored at any time. The steps and measures required for this, however, depend on the specific internet browser you are using. If you have any questions, please use the help function or documentation of your internet browser, or contact its manufacturer or support. In the case of so-called Flash cookies, processing cannot be prevented via the browser settings. Instead, you must change the settings of your Flash player. The steps and measures required also depend on the Flash player you are using. If you have any questions, please also use the help function or documentation of your Flash player, or contact the manufacturer or user support.
However, if you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, this may result in not all functions of our website being fully usable.
Contract processing
The data you provide to use our goods and/or services is processed by us for the purpose of contract processing and is necessary for this purpose. Conclusion and performance of a contract are not possible without providing your data.
The legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
We delete the data after the contract has been fully processed, but must observe retention periods under tax and commercial law.
As part of contract processing, we pass your data on to the transport company commissioned with the delivery of goods or to the financial service provider, insofar as the transfer is necessary for delivery or payment purposes.
The legal basis for the transfer of the data is then Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Customer account / registration function
If you create a customer account with us via our website, we will collect and store the data you enter during registration (e.g. your name, address or email address) exclusively for pre-contractual services, for contract performance, or for customer service purposes (e.g. to provide you with an overview of your previous orders, or to offer a wishlist function). At the same time, we store the IP address and the date and time of your registration. This data is of course not passed on to third parties.
As part of the further registration process, your consent to this processing is obtained and reference is made to this privacy policy. The data collected is used exclusively to provide the customer account.
If you consent to this processing, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR is the legal basis for processing.
If the creation of the customer account also serves pre-contractual measures or the performance of a contract, the legal basis for this processing is also Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
You may revoke your consent to the creation and maintenance of the customer account at any time with effect for the future in accordance with Art. 7(3) GDPR. You only need to inform us of your revocation.
The data collected in this respect will be deleted as soon as processing is no longer necessary. However, we must observe retention periods under tax and commercial law.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our free newsletter, the data requested for this purpose—your email address and, optionally, your name and address—will be transmitted to us. At the same time, we store the IP address of the internet connection from which you access our website as well as the date and time of your subscription. As part of the further subscription process, we will obtain your consent to send the newsletter, describe the content specifically and refer you to this privacy policy. The data collected is used exclusively for sending the newsletter and is therefore not passed on to third parties.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time with effect for the future in accordance with Art. 7(3) GDPR. You only need to inform us of your revocation or click the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter.
Contact requests / contact option
If you contact us via contact form or email, the data you provide will be used to process your request. Providing the data is necessary to process and respond to your request—without it, we cannot respond to your request or can do so only to a limited extent.
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Your data will be deleted once your request has been conclusively answered, provided that no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion, e.g. in the case of subsequent contract processing.
User contributions, comments and reviews
We offer you the option to publish questions, answers, opinions or reviews on our website (hereinafter referred to as “contributions”). If you make use of this offer, we process and publish your contribution, the date and time of submission, and any pseudonym you may use.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future in accordance with Art. 7(3) GDPR by informing us of your revocation.
In addition, we also process your IP address and email address. The IP address is processed because we have a legitimate interest in initiating or supporting further steps if your contribution infringes third-party rights and/or is otherwise unlawful.
In this case, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in any necessary legal defense.
Subscription to contributions
If you publish contributions on our website, we additionally offer you the option to subscribe to any follow-up contributions by third parties. In order to inform you about these follow-up contributions by email, we process your email address.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent to this subscription at any time with effect for the future in accordance with Art. 7(3) GDPR by informing us of your revocation or clicking the unsubscribe link in the respective email.
Prize draw
We offer you the opportunity to participate in prize draws via our website. If you participate in one of our prize draws, the data you enter when participating will be processed—without any further consent from you, but of course exclusively for conducting and handling the respective prize draw.
As part of handling the prize draw, we pass your data on to the transport company commissioned with delivering the goods or to a financial service provider, insofar as the transfer is necessary for delivery or payment of your prize. If your data is published in the event of a win, you will be informed of this as part of the consent declaration.
The legal basis for the transfer of the data is then Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
You can revoke your consent to the processing of data for participation in our prize draws at any time with effect for the future in accordance with Art. 7(3) GDPR. You only need to inform us of your revocation.

Linking social media via graphic or text link
We also promote presences on the social networks listed below on our website. Integration takes place via a linked graphic of the respective network. Using this linked graphic prevents an automatic connection from being established to the server of the respective social network when a website that contains social media promotion is accessed, in order to display the network graphic itself. Only when the user clicks on the corresponding graphic will they be redirected to the service of the respective social network.
After the user is redirected, the respective network collects information about the user. It cannot be ruled out that the data collected in this way is processed in the USA.
This initially includes data such as IP address, date, time and the page visited. If the user is logged into their user account of the respective network at the same time, the network operator may be able to assign the collected information about the specific visit to the user’s personal account. If the user interacts via a “Share” button of the respective network, this information may be stored in the user’s personal account and possibly published. If the user wants to prevent the collected information from being directly assigned to their user account, they must log out before clicking the graphic. In addition, it is possible to configure the respective user account accordingly.
